Homeless
Your thoughts are all happy, sitting high in your chair,
But when it comes to others, I guess you just don’t care.
I can see an old man walking alone in the street,
With cuts on his hands, and no shoes on his feet.
You’ve got your family, to love and to hold,
While he has no one to love, all alone in the cold.
You’re laying in a bed all warm in the night,
While he’s laying in a box, full of fear and fright.
One day you meet him, and he asks for some change,
Of course you deny, just don’t feel like the shame.
But one day you’re sorry, so you go back and see,
But the man you ignored, can no longer be.
