different options

There are 4 categories of students in the academic world: each consisting of 2 particular characteristics:

1st category: hardworking; good results
2nd category: lazy; good results
3rd category: hardworking; poor results
4th category: lazy; poor results

For obvious reasons, I envy people from the second category. They put in absolutely no effort, and yet get straight A's without breaking a sweat.
As for the 3rd category, i feel sorry for them.. they put in SO much effort, they try and they try, they do their best, and yet every time exams come, they're set up for disappointment again and again.

Sometimes i wonder how God can be so unfair. But then i remember:
Each one of us has our own abilities. God is fair. He gives different gifts to each of His children. Some of us are gifted academically, and others in different fields. Whether it's music, art, cookery or helping others, each one of us specialise in our own outstanding way. Like Rick Warren wrote, each one of us has our own SHAPE.

We don't all have to be engineers or doctor or vets. Those aren't the only careers in the world. We have musicians, architects, psychologists, actors, chefs, businessmen, big bosses of huge companies (e.g. Mr Lau Kiu Kiong) out in the society earning millions, some of which didn't even go to college or university.
If one option seems blocked, broaden your mind. Maybe God wants you to excel in a different area. Try a different path.
